Under tracker settings, you will find some options that allow you to diagnose or interact with your tracker as part of a troubleshooting need. One of these is the Ping command.
This command allows you to force the tracker to report its current position, as a one time ping. In order for this to take effect, the tracker must be awake and connected to the platform.
For instance, if the your tracker is set to an interval based reporting mode or 2 hours, clicking the Ping command will not override this. The Ping will be executed when the tracker wakes up and reports.
Similarly, if the tracker has no connection to the platform and is in an area that has no chance of connection, the Ping command will not override the lack of connection. The Ping will execute when the tracker re-connects to the platform.
If the tracker is awake and has a stable connection, the Ping command will execute immediately.
