If you log into the Spytec GPS platform and see one of your trackers has a connection issue, please click the tracker icon to get a detailed view of the issue.
After clicking the detailed view, in this case, tells us the tracker does not currently have a battery charge. This means the tracker's battery is completely dead and is no longer providing power, preventing the device from reporting.
How do we solve this issue?
For users of the GL300 tracker, this can be resolved by completing the following steps:
1. Recovering the tracker
2. Recharging the tracker. The red PWR LED will flash while charging; when it is fully charged, the LED will be solid. The power button can now be used to turn the unit back on.
3. After powering the unit back on, it may be necessary to take the unit for a short walk to give it the opportunity to reconnect to the GPS network and Spytec platform.
a. The blue GPS LED will begin to flash when it has re-established a connection to the GPS network.
b. The green CEL LED will flash once every three seconds when it has re-established a connection with the Spytec platform.
Once that has been done, the device will resume reporting as normal.
