Exporting reports is an easy way to distribute information to others who may need tracking info but do not have access to the Spytec GPS account. If you need to share location data about your fleet in a meeting with your co-workers, an exported report can get the information in their hands without you having to compromise your account security by sharing your login.
To export a report, the first thing we need to do is click the menu icon in the top left of the web app, select reports and then click the report you wish to view:
Once viewing the report to export that file simply click the Export icon in the upper right of the web application. You will get a pop up window letting you know that the maximum size of the export is 1000 records. To continue, click Export.
The export process may take some time depending on the computer being used but will not be a long process. When the export is complete, an explorer or finder window will open up asking you for the save location and the exported file will download.
The file will export as a .csv file, which can be opened in Excel or Google Sheets among others. Once saved the file can be opened and distributed as needed. A tip for users exporting many records is to name them something specific when saving the exported record. This will allow you to quickly access the file you need among the many you have saved.
