The mobile app (beginning with version 5.3.2) now allows all users to log on using biometrics, i.e., face print or fingerprint, depending on your phone's capabilities.

To use the Biometric feature with your Spytec GPS app, please follow the steps below:
Step 1 |
Download and launch the most recent version of the mobile app: (See also: How Do I Know I Have The Most Recent Version of the Mobile App?) |
Step 2 |
On the login screen, ensure both "Remember Me" and "Biometrics" are selected: Please note: if you no longer wish to use Biometric login, simply uncheck the "Biometric" checkbox. |
Step 3 |
Enter your Spytec username and password and click "Login" |
Step 4 |
Depending on your device's Biometric settings, you'll either be asked to scan your face or fingerprint for access. Please note: If for some reason the biometric login is not successful, the app will default to the non-biometric login used to access your phone (i.e. PIN code or pattern scan) |
Step 5 |
You're logged on to start tracking! |
Biometrics Popping Up Too Much?
If the Biometrics request is popping up on your app too frequently, but you are able to log on to the app, you may fix this by doing the following:
Step 1 | Go to "Menu" |
Step 2 | Select "Account" |
Step 3 | Select "Security" |
Step 4 |
Deselect "Biometrics" to prevent biometrics from continuing to pop up |
